ACJ350 XWB – Xtra easy to outfit

Widebodies such as the ACJ350 XWB offer the equivalent of several houses of floorspace, so creating cabins that meet demanding certification rules can be challenging, especially when they are installed within a fuselage made of new materials such as carbonfibre.

Setting the standard in carbon fibre VIP cabins:  The Easyfit cabin outfitting

Addressing challenging carbon cabin outfitting via an innovative solution reducing risk, lead-time and cost, Airbus has thus chosen to pre-equip the carbon fibre fuselage of the ACJ350 XWB with hundreds of attachment points and has designed standard system interfaces, greatly simplifying the work of cabin-outfitters. It has also worked extensively with several cabin outfitters to ensure smooth completions for customers. The following outfitters have been approved for ACJ350 XWB completions:

  • AMAC Aerospace
  • Jet Aviation
  • Lufthansa Technik

ACJ350 XWB worldwide range

The ACJ350 XWB can fly twenty-five passengers 11,100 nm/ 20,557 km or more than 22 hours non-stop, making it today’s most modern and capable corporate jet.

To determine the aircraft’s range from a specific location, simply drag the aircraft cursor to any city or region.

Assumptions:

  • 25 passengers
  • NBAA flight profile
  • 200nm diversion

Note: The range areas above illustrate the aircraft's nominal range. Actual range may vary with various factors (e.g. outfitting options, weather).

Innovative technology

The most perfect designs often are found in nature. That’s why Airbus looks to learn from the natural world when designing and improving its aircraft. As the newest member of the company’s widebody family, the ACJ350 XWB is an example of how this inspirational blend of science and nature represents another significant evolution in the on-going mission to conceive and manufacture the perfect aircraft.

The ACJ350 XWB has learned from nature, whether it’s the revolutionary adaptive wing design – inspired by birds – which morphs while airborne to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency by optimising wing loading, reducing drag and lowering fuel burn; or the savings generated by innovative technological advances.

The world’s most modern VIP widebody benefits from being built with over 70 per cent advanced materials; combining carbon composites (53 per cent), titanium and modern aluminium alloys, to create a lighter and more cost-efficient aircraft whilst also reducing maintenance requirements. The latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines are quieter and more efficient.
